The challenge
Gradientech required an engaging infographic that transformed complex industry survey results into a clear and persuasive narrative. The resource needed to communicate current attitudes toward rapid AST adoption while reinforcing Gradientech’s position within the clinical diagnostics space.
The infographic needed to show a strong link between the brand and rapid AST products, building recognition of the Gradientech brand through close alignment with their brand guidelines. The aesthetic needed to be elegant and minimalistic while highlighting real people to create authenticity, and bringing in brand iconography to inject character.

The process
The project had a tighter turnaround than usual, with the full process (including briefing, editorial content development, and design) completed in under eight weeks rather than the typical ten. As Gradientech was a new client, it was especially important to deliver a strong first impression through both high-quality design and a smooth collaborative experience. I worked closely with the editorial and account teams throughout the project, maintaining regular communication to ensure creative alignment, efficient feedback cycles, and timely delivery.
I began the project by creating a wireframe and sharing it with the client at an early stage. This helped align on structure, content hierarchy, and narrative flow before moving into polished visual design. Establishing the layout upfront reduced the risk of significant rework later in the process, when structural changes become more time-consuming once branding and visual styling have been applied. This approach was particularly important given the project’s tight turnaround, allowing feedback and refinements to happen quickly and efficiently.

The solution
The solution was a long-form infographic that translated complex survey findings and technical subject matter into a clear, engaging visual narrative. I designed the piece to guide readers through the story in a structured and digestible way, using strong information hierarchy, an intuitive flow, and data visualisation to break down dense content into accessible sections.
The design balanced scientific credibility with a modern, approachable visual style, helping the client communicate key industry trends while reinforcing their position within the diagnostics space.
